Installation

Our Process

Using your existing infrastructure design and specification, Levare will map out, design, and engineer a custom pile repair system and installation sequence specific to your needs.  Damaged piles will be removed from service in a manner in which the surrounding pilings can carry the dead load of the damaged piles with respect to adjacent repairs. During the brief duration of the repair, live loads would not be allowed over the repaired piling.

An example sequence for a timber pile repair on a concrete bridge:

  • Inspect and verify the limits of rot & existing pile damage.
  • Cut out the bad section of piling using a chainsaw.
  • Install the new ESPRS onto the lower existing timber pile and elevated the ESPRS sleeve to ensure plumb alignment between the existing pile and bent cap.
  • Pre-drill and install lag bolts through the ESPRS spool into the existing pile.
  • Drill and install wedge anchors connecting the ESPRS sleeve to the bent cap.
  • Pump grout into the ESPRS sleeve until all air and water have been expelled and close the discharge port valve.
  • Pump grout into the ESPRS sleeve until the design pressure is reached. Close the valve. Stop pumping.
  • Relieve pressure at the pump. Disconnect hose. Move to the next location.
